All Services and Activities Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Outbreak
With everything that has taken place in the past few days our elders have been prayerfully and carefully considering the needs of our church family. We want to do what is best for each other and glorify God by showing love for our neighbors. Our elders have decided that the Sunday morning worship services for March 22nd and March 29th will be online only. We will not have a worship service at the building. You may go to our website or app, where you usually stream our worship service, or you can watch it on Facebook. It will be posted first thing Sunday morning, and we encourage people to worship together with your families. Jon Winchester will be bringing a message of hope, as well as a reminder of our mission and some exciting news about how Graymere is continually focused on serving God.
We are encouraging families to prepare and provide their own elements for the Lord's Supper. We will be posting a recipe for unleavended bread to our Facebook group if you need it. As you can imagine supplies of travel communion elements are on back order, and while we have some, we don't have enough for everyone. So please prepare that yourself. If you are not able to, please contact one of the elders or ministers.
Of course, giving is a part of worship. We encourage every family, just as we would if we were together, to purpose in your hearts what you will give. This may even be a good time to talk with children about the purpose of giving. If you could like to mail checks (no cash) to the church office, please by sure to write contribution on the envelope, or of course, you can drop the contribution by the office during the week.
This change also includes any events that will be taking place in any of our buildings during this time. This will be our schedule for two weeks, and then we will assess what to do going forward.
